If there’s one universal truth in the V-twin performance world, it’s this: when Nick Trask shows up, horsepower follows.

During the 2025 Motul Hot Bike Tour, Trask didn’t just attend—he set the tone. He hosted the kickoff party at Trask Performance headquarters in Phoenix before racking up thousands of miles aboard his turbocharged 1987 Harley-Davidson FXR.

 

“It was one of the better Hot Bike Tours,” Trask said. “The energy was good. Every night was a good time—just to be with the guys.”

The FXR started as a long-held dream project sitting in the back of the shop. For the Tour, it finally received the full Trask treatment: an S&S 124ci engine with B2 heads, a Trask turbo system, chassis upgrades, a cockpit-style fairing, and modern controls. The result is a bike that delivers explosive top-end power without sacrificing street manners.

 

“It starts easy, accelerates clean, and it’s smooth,” Trask explained. “Docile when you want it—then the turbo hits, and it’ll rip your arms off.”

Built for longtime friend Mark Bradshaw of The Roadhouse and The Hideaway in Cave Creek, the machine proved itself from Phoenix to Flagstaff, St. George, and finally Las Vegas. Highway pulls, fuel-stop parties, and spontaneous detours defined the ride.

 

Despite his reputation as one of the country’s top performance builders, Trask said the camaraderie stood out most.

“Good guys, good rides, good energy. One of the best Hot Bike Tours yet.”

he said. “It’s good for the community. It’s good for the industry. We need to keep riding motorcycles.”

 

And like every turbo system he builds, this Tour delivered exactly what it promised—boost, brotherhood, and big horsepower. HB
